Project Manager – Installation of Solar Projects

Description: Our rapidly growing company seeks an individual with strong organizational and project management skills to assist in the installation of solar projects. The position will play a critical role in ensuring the company successfully delivers our strong pipeline within the Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine regions. Job Summary: Manages construction aspects of projects for the organization.

Job Duties: Work collaboratively on all aspects of the project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery. Coordinates the work activities for multiple functions to ensure satisfying delivery. Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepares reports to senior management. Assists with the selection, negotiation, and managing of all activities regarding external consultants or vendors.

Leads and monitors the construction process, and ensures that projects are completed on time, on budget and according to specifications. Uses engineering and technical knowledge to ensure that components, systems, and equipment meet specifications of the project. Generally responsible to oversee a safe working environment by coordinating vendors and scheduling of construction activities. Provides regular (both written and verbal) communication to senior management on progress and conflicts, provides daily and final inspection of construction sites.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to read blueprints and verify work is performed to specifications.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.
  • Bachelor of Science degree, PMP Certification or relevant experience in renewable industry.
  • Ability to identify and independently manage critical tasks.
  • Ability to balance priorities and adjust to deliver the best outcomes and diminish risk.
  • Strong desire to belong to a goal-oriented, collaborative, and egoless team focused on helping our customers and the environment.
