Impact Investment Manager @ VCLF

VCLF is hiring an Impact Investments Manager to focus on impact investor and donor relations, investment and grant management, events, and support for the Board of Directors. This position is VCLF’s main point of contact with our diverse community of impact investors, reports to the Director of Investment & Philanthropy and is based out of the VCLF offices in Montpelier, Vermont.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creating and Curating Relationships with Impact Investors
• Serves as the organization’s main point of contact with our community of impact investors
• Often serves as the organization’s first point of contact for prospective investors
• Manages diverse relationships with impact investors including individuals & families, their asset managers & advisors, institutions, corporations, philanthropy & nonprofits, communities of faith and more
• Understands client/investor expectations, and provides “white glove” service

Managing Impact Investments
• Manages VCLF’s impact investment systems, including origination, processing monthly renewals and interest payments, monthly & annual reconciliations, form/system updates & special projects
• Manages communications via phone, email and snail mail with impact investors and prospects
• Prepares and maintains impact investment documents and files

Managing Grants and Donations
• Manages grant and donation processes, including filing and communications, reconciliations, form/system updates & special projects
• Communicates with donors and prospects
• Manages annual fundraising appeal mailing
• Coordinates with Finance Department on grant and investment reporting

Managing Impact Investment Office Systems
• Manages contact, donor and impact investor/investment data in MIMOTA
• Creates mailing & contact lists for all marketing, capitalization and fundraising communications
• Manages contact and impact investor/investment information in Nortridge Loan Systems
• Manages social impacts tracking & reporting databases

Board Liaison
• Arranges, supports and documents Board meetings & gatherings
• Manages Board & Committee communications, including board mailings and orientation materials

Events
• Coordinates the VCLF staff team that produces in-person & virtual events, including anniversary celebrations, press events, impact investor gatherings, webinars et al.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES FOR THIS POSITION

• Experience with investor relations, financial advisory, community development finance, asset management
• Experience with nonprofit fundraising and philanthropy, or related activities
• Experience with customer-focused communications
• Proficiency with contact and/or donor database systems
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Access, email and the internet

VCLF is an equal opportunity employer. This position is a 40-hour-per-week, non-exempt position with generous benefits including health, retirement and paid leave. Beginning annual wage range is $55,000-$65,000
