Join us VBSR, Middlebury College's Environmental Studies Program, Climate Action Program, and Center for Careers and Internships as we combine the power of business and education for positive social and environmental impact! We will connect with friends, colleagues, and students and learn from one another over food and drinks.

Middlebury is an undergraduate college; a graduate school for international studies; a home for immersive language study; a graduate school for the study of literature, literacy, and pedagogy; a leader of schools abroad sites that span the globe; and a home for the oldest and most prestigious writers’ conference in the world, which has spawned conferences in environmental writing and translation as well. Through a commitment to immersive learning, Middlebury College prepare students to lead engaged, consequential, and creative lives, contribute to their communities, and address the world’s most challenging problems.

We will learn about Middlebury College's Environmental Studies Program, the Climate Action Program, their community-based projects, and their collaboration with the incredible businesses in the Addison County area. The evening will include free finger foods, networking, and drinks on Thursday, November 7th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues, make new connections, gain new ideas and inspiration, and have some fun in the beautiful and charming setting of the Middlebury College campus.

This event is open to everyone interested in working toward a just, thriving, and transformative economy that works for all people and the planet – students are welcome! This event is family-friendly and caretakers of any kind are welcome to attend with your dependents.

Middlebury is an institution that prepares students to address the world’s most challenging problems, and it does so by engaging them in the life of the mind and soul.

At Middlebury, we are committed to educating students in the tradition of the liberal arts, which embodies a method of discourse as well as a group of disciplines; in our scientifically and mathematically oriented majors, just as in the humanities, the social sciences, the arts, and the languages, we emphasize reflection, discussion, and intensive interactions between students and faculty members. Our vibrant residential community, remarkable facilities, and the diversity of our cocurricular activities and support services all exist primarily to serve these educational purposes.

Additionally, Middlebury College's Environmental Studies Program was founded in 1965 and is the oldest undergraduate ES program in the United States and is well equipped to help today’s students explore those solutions. The Climate Action Program was launched in fall 2020 and aims to provide all Middlebury College students with the knowledge, motivation, and capacity needed to be effective and transformative leaders on climate change across backgrounds, disciplines, and career paths.

This event is also sponsored by the Middlebury Center for Careers and Internships!
