This Story Session is a collaboration between Hula and Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR).

When: Wed, Oct 28, 2026 at 4:00 PM

Where: Hula, 50 Lakeside Ave., Burlington, VT 05401

Jeffrey Hollender, co-founder and former CEO of Seventh Generation, spent five decades in the trenches of social entrepreneurship while pushing for a better way of doing business and revolutionizing the relationship between corporations, society, and the environment.

In this Story Session, Jeffrey goes behind the scenes of Seventh Generation, the company that helped pioneer the sustainable business movement. Drawing from his new book, Built for a Better World, he shares the personal and professional journey behind the company's growth: the failures, triumphs, and values that shaped a new way of doing business. Jeffrey will share inside stories about one of the most beloved sustainability-focused companies and hard lessons for any business looking to maximize its positive impact and avoid the biggest mistakes along the way.

Jeffrey will be joined in conversation by Hula member Chad Farrell, Founder of Encore Renewable Energy, for a fireside chat you won't want to miss.
