Steps to End Domestic Violence

Steps to End Domestic Violence (formerly Women Helping Battered Women) has been serving survivors of intimate partner violence in Chittenden County for over 50 years.
Our mission is to assist in the transition to a safe, independent life for all those who have been affected physically, sexually, emotionally or economically by domestic abuse and to promote a culture that fosters justice, equity, and safety. Our programs include Emergency Housing (we run a 21-unit pet and family-friendly emergency shelter), Legal Advocacy, Support Groups, a 24/7 Hotline, Education & Outreach, and a Youth Program.
