Event Support Coordinator @ University of Vermont

Provide coordination and administrative support for programs and events within the Grossman School of Business (GSB).

Job Summary:
Provide coordination and administrative support for programs and events within the Grossman School of Business (GSB). Provide hands-on support before, after, and during events. Supervise event team of student employees, including training, scheduling, and time approvals. Manage event supply inventory. Coordinate all contract agreements associated with programs and events, including bid evaluations, final cost estimates, cost reconciliations, and special requests/arrangements. Develop and monitor event budgets. Coordinate student travel arrangements related to experiential programs. Create digital and physical event-related assets.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in business, hospitality or related field and three or more years of event, hospitality or other related experience. Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Demonstrated customer service, administrative, and operational support skills. Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word-processing applications. Proficiency with Internet resources. Demonstrated ability to learn new methods and work independently or collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable Qualifications:
Supervisory experience. Budget experience. Database management experience. Creative design aptitude. Experience interacting with entrepreneurs, business owners, advisors, and educators. Demonstrated multicultural competence and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment. Self-starter.
