Director of Development & Communications @ Vermont Works for Women
Overview:
Join VWW’s dynamic team to provide leadership and set the strategic vision for all fundraising, marketing and public communications. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of fundraising and grant writing, experience supervising employees, excellent writing skills, and be tech savvy. The Director:
- creates strategies that increase the organization's support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other sources, with a focus on diversifying funding to maintain a strong financial portfolio for mission delivery.
- cultivates major donors and community relationships to build VWW visibility, oversees grant-making strategies, and develops cost-effective fundraising initiatives utilizing social media, events, and appeals.
- ensures that VWW communicates effectively with its many constituents, and provides leadership and oversight for communication and media activities.
- develops marketing and communications strategies that support the organization’s mission, programs, and efforts, and that also ensure VWW maintains its brand identity and that programs are aligned with VWW’s brand(s).
Schedule:
This position would involve a mix of time working in the main office in Winooski, VT, traveling to programs around the state, and teleworking. The position pays $76,000-$82,000/year and comes with a robust benefits plan including employee health and dental insurance, 401K, disability and life insurance, and generous paid leave.
