Vital Communities

Vital Communities' mission is to engage with Upper Valley people, organizations, and communities to create equitable solutions to our region’s challenges, with a focus on those disproportionately impacted by them. We work to build a thriving Upper Valley by focusing on major issues facing our region, including housing, transportation, climate disruption, access to nourishing food, and civic engagement.

Vital Communities is a nonprofit organization that relies on deep networks and partnerships to take on the biggest challenges facing the Upper Valley. In 2006, we founded the Corporate Council to bring the voices, skills, experience, and creativity of the principal employers in the region to the table to address key change issues the region faces that are too complex for individual businesses, communities, or even states to address effectively.
