Legislators: NO ROLLBACKS to Global Warming Solutions Act and RES
Please Take Action TODAY, Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
Last week Governor Scott introduced a proposal to significantly roll back Vermont’s action on climate change.
The bill would eliminate mandatory emissions reductions, remove the power of the Climate Action Office to advance agency action on climate resilience, and delay a plan for climate action for up to 3 years – just to name a few critical mistakes on climate action.
Legislators need to hear from you that Vermont deserves REAL action on climate change — not rollbacks and delays. We cannot roll back our commitment to climate action!
We must ensure Vermont’s progress on the clean energy transition remains strong, knowing that a fossil-friendly federal administration makes state-level action more important than ever.
Please call or email your Senator(s) (or call the Sergeant at Arms to leave your Senator(s) a message) today, Tuesday February 25th, between 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Ask them to "Vote against any rollbacks to the Global Warming Solutions Act and the Renewable Energy Standard to secure a better future for all Vermonters."
We have no time to waste.

Did you know that one of the duties of the Office of the Sergeant at Arms of the Vermont State House is delivering messages to Legislators? In addition to reaching out by phone or email to your legislator, you can leave a message with the Sergeant at Arms and it will be delivered to the official you want to reach.
Call the Office of the Sergeant at Arms/the Statehouse switchboard at 802-828-2228. Give the lawmaker’s name, say you are a constituent and ask for your message to be delivered to them.
