Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) hosts regular Virtual Public Policy Forums to engage our over 700 members across the state. We know that our rural healthcare network and services across the state are essential for ensuring equitable access and long-term sustainable economic development in Vermont.

For over a decade VBSR has engaged in advocacy to support affordable and quality healthcare for Vermont businesses, employees and communities. This November we’re hoping that you will join us for an hour to learn more about the recent Green Mountain Care Board recommendations to close crucial services across the state, the status of the national debate on reducing healthcare costs, and approaches that Vermont-based insurance companies are taking to increase affordability and coverage.

In order to ensure that our businesses and communities can thrive we need innovative healthcare solutions that are the right size and approach for the unique needs of Vermont. While the healthcare system is complex, we know that in working with healthcare providers, insurance and business we can preserve the unique character of Vermont while supporting thoughtful economic development across the state. Time for questions from participants will be made available at the end of the conversation with our panelists.

After brief presentations, the panel will welcome questions from the audience related to healthcare in Vermont. Bring your questions, concerns, and creative ideas! Thank you to our speakers, including

  • Dan Barlow, People's Health and Wellness Clinic, Executive Director
  • Beth Feldpush DrPH, Americas Essential Hospitals, Sr Vice President of Policy and Advocacy
  • Wendy Franklin, North Country Hospital, Director of Communications & Foundation
  • Andrew Garland, Blue Cross Blue Shield, External Relations
  • Jason Williams, UVM HN, Chief External Relations Officer
