24th annual Vermont Employee Ownership Conference

Registration for the 24th annual Vermont Employee Ownership Conference is now open!

For 24 years the Vermont Employee Ownership Center has organized an annual employee ownership conference. It is one of a handful of conferences all about employee ownership in the nation and is one of few that bring together worker cooperatives and ESOP companies to learn from one another and build community. Other attendee groups include business owners ready to learn about selling a business to its employees, professionals who support employee-owned businesses at the point of conversion and beyond, and still others interested in employee ownership for academic, political, or social reasons. The benefits of employee ownership continue to have broad appeal, and the VEOC conference remains a critical meeting point for all involved in shaping a more prosperous future here in the Northeast.

This year we’re introducing a special pre-conference for selling owners! This will take place on June 11th from 10:30-4:30 and will be hosted by an employee-owned business in the Burlington area. Join the crew of VEOC, Rob Brown from Cooperative Development Institute, Attorney Tabitha Croscut from Devine Millimet, and Allison Curtis from ICA Group to learn about common broad-based employee ownership models, and dig into everything you need to know in order to really get started on the ownership succession path.

The main conference will be on June 12th from 7:30-5:00 at The DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington. Discounted accommodation will be available at The DoubleTree.
