Vanguard Renewables' Farm Powered anaerobic digestion program is the largest recycling destination for food waste in the Northeast; completing a closed loop organics to energy lifecycle. Recycling food waste at a Farm Powered anaerobic digestion facility saves money, reduces environmental impacts as compared to composting or landfill solutions, and sustains a local farm. Our facilities recycle food waste and farm waste to produce clean Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). The facility at Goodrich Farm in Salisbury, Vermont (operating mid-2020) will process up to 100 tons of manure and 180 tons of organics per day to produce up to 180,000 Mcf/y of baseload RNG for Vermont Natural Gas' pipeline injection and 600kW of RE. Vanguard Renewables recently received the American Biogas Council 2019 Up-and-Coming Biogas Project award for this project.
