Vermont Public Relations Firm Cultivate Launches “Roots & Blossoms Fund” in Support of Non-Profit Arts & Culture Programs for Youth

Burlington, VT – December 2, 2024 – Cultivate, a Vermont-based, woman-owned public relations agency specializing in media relations, social media, and influencer partnerships, announces the launch of its Roots & Blossoms Fund, a new grant initiative designed to support artistic and cultural programming for Vermont youth. The fund will offer financial and in-kind support to non-profit organizations that offer opportunities for youth to explore their creative potential and forge strong cultural connections.

Inspired by the “1% for the Planet” model, Cultivate CEO and founder Alexandra Tursi has pledged 1% of Cultivate’s total annual revenue to the Roots & Blossoms Fund. This initiative seeks to nurture the creative growth of young Vermonters by supporting programs that focus on underserved and rural communities throughout the state.

The fund will provide grants of up to $1,000 to Vermont-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, and offer the opportunity for recipient organizations to receive additional in-kind services from Cultivate, which will help these organizations share their stories and amplify the impact of their work.

"We are thrilled to launch Roots & Blossoms as part of our commitment to making the arts more accessible to young Vermonters," said Tursi. "This initiative exemplifies our belief in using business as a force for good. By supporting programs that encourage creative expression and cultural understanding, we hope to not only inspire the next generation of storytellers to raise their voices – but to also invest in the vibrant future of our state."

Roots & Blossoms will focus on four key areas of support:

Access to the Arts: Increasing access to arts experiences for underserved communities, ensuring youth can engage with various artistic disciplines.

Arts Education & Literacy: Promoting programs that integrate arts education into school curricula to foster both artistic and general literacy.

Cultural Community Building: Supporting initiatives that encourage young people to explore the cultural experiences of underrepresented communities through art.

Creative Expression: Empowering young artists to develop their voices and talents by providing them with the tools and platforms they need.

Non-profit organizations that align with one or more of these areas and serve youth ages 0-18 in Vermont are encouraged to apply. The application period for the 2025 grant cohort is now open. Visit //culticatepr.co/roots-blossoms to learn more.
