Serving the Vermont Patient Community: Sunset Lake Cannabis Releases New Medical Products

South Hero, VT (March 16, 2026) – The farmers at Sunset Lake Cannabis are proud to announce the launch of a brand new line of medical cannabis products made exclusively for Vermont Medical Cannabis patients & caregivers. The South Hero farm has long been committed to serving their Vermont neighbors, and this new product line aims to support patients who rely on medical cannabis for their health and wellbeing. With the recent addition of a Medical Use Endorsement (MUE) retail license, patients can now find high-potency medical tinctures and gummies from Sunset Lake Cannabis at participating cannabis retailers and dispensaries.

The launch is part of a bigger moment for Vermont’s medical cannabis community. The Vermont Cannabis Control Board recently rolled out the Medical Use Endorsement program, which allows approved adult-use (“recreational”) cannabis retailers to serve registered patients and stock higher-potency medical products.

“With the closure of Vermont’s largest medical dispensary just over a year ago, patients across the state have been left with fewer options for medical-grade products,” said Rev Baker, Director of Marketing at Sunset Lake Cannabis. “This is a meaningful expansion of access for Vermont’s patient & caregiver community.”

The Vermont Cannabis Control Board has been rolling out an Enhanced Budtender Education training to make sure dispensary staff are properly equipped to help patients find what they need. And medical card holders are exempt from the state’s cannabis excise tax and sales taxes entirely, saving patients 20-21% percent compared with adult-use shoppers.

The new Sunset Lake Cannabis medical product lineup includes four items, all made with full-spectrum cannabis extract from their sungrown plants:

• Medical Blend THC Oil: Sunset Lake Cannabis’s highest-potency tincture, with 3,000mg THC (50mg per serving) in a 2oz bottle. Made with just two ingredients — full-spectrum cannabis extract and organic coconut MCT oil.
• Medical Bedtime Blend THC Oil: A rest-focused formula with 3,000mg THC, 1,500mg CBD, and 1,500mg CBN per 2oz bottle (50mg THC + 25mg CBD + 25mg CBN per serving), with a touch of natural mint flavoring.
• Medical Sativa Gummies: Tangerine-flavored gummies with 50mg THC each, made with a field blend of sungrown Sativa cultivars. Each jar contains 20 gummies.
• Medical Indica Gummies: Strawberry-flavored gummies with a full-spectrum cannabinoid profile designed for relaxation. 50mg THC, 25mg CBD, and 25mg CBN per gummy. Each jar contains 20 gummies.

All of the new Sunset Lake Cannabis medical products are third-party lab tested to ensure potency and purity, and are formulated to be vegan-friendly.

Sunset Lake Cannabis medical products are available at Lake Effect Vermont, the farm’s own South Hero dispensary.

Medical cannabis products are only available to people registered in Vermont’s Medical Cannabis Program.
