VBSR Welcomes Jeremy Gerber as Membership and Development Manager

Burlington, Vt. (January 8, 2024) – Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) is pleased to announce that Jeremy Gerber has joined the organization as Membership and Development Manager. In this role, Gerber develops and implements VBSR’s strategic approach to membership recruitment, retention, and engagement in addition to fundraising for the organization’s Expanding Our Movement Fund.

A native of Massachusetts, Gerber began setting his Vermont roots in 2013 and brings a blended background in nonprofit development, strategic fundraising, digital marketing, client relations, brand ambassadorship, and member recruitment – a unique mix that will help VBSR evolve all aspects of the organization in the coming years.

In his various mission-driven, Vermont-based roles – which include Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, Dealer.com and UVM – Gerber has built and managed corporate sponsorship programs, cultivated large donor bases, and developed digital content across brand portfolios. He has also managed retail storefronts, worked in shipping departments, and processed tree core samples to study climate and pollution impacts on our environment, an experiential mix that gives him unique insights into VBSR members’ blend of everyday business needs with the global issues that impact them.

“Brands around the globe look to Vermont industry icons to learn how to build successful businesses in a way that is good for their people and good for the planet – and VBSR members lead the way. Together, our network brings their collective power and wisdom to our mission of revolutionizing business: what it looks like, how it works, and who benefits,” said Roxanne Vought, executive director of VBSR. “As we embrace the opportunities this decade holds for our state and the world, Jeremy has the knowledge, skills, and expertise to support and strengthen our current members while growing the next generation of values-led business leaders.”
