Inspired by the Women’s March, Nutty Steph’s pledges to sell 100,000 Chocolate Vulvas Middlesex, VT – With their purchases of Nutty Steph’s Chocolate Vulvas Vermonters and chocolate lovers everywhere can help fund Planned Parenthood of Northern New England’s essential work empowering individuals to make independent, informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. Nutty Steph’s will donate $1 to the organization for every Chocolate Vulva box sold. Included with each purchase will be one of nine collector’s cards illustrated by artist Hilde Atalanta of The Vulva Gallery, a global educational movement which celebrates vulva diversity. Jaquelyn Rieke, founder and product designer at Nutty Steph’s, anticipates the campaign to raise $100,000 for Planned Parenthood and $25,000 for The Vulva Gallery.

“At Planned Parenthood, we believe that everyone should have access to high-quality and compassionate sexual and reproductive health care, no matter what,” said Meagan Gallagher President and CEO of PPNNE, “We are so grateful to Nutty Steph’s for their commitment to our organization and patients, and their incredibly generous support of this vital work.”

With the support of local businesses and individuals, the first 1,000 Chocolate Vulva boxes will be donated to attendees of the 3rd Annual Women’s March on Montpelier on January 19th 2019. Nutty Steph’s Chocolate Vulva boxes will be available to purchase beginning January 17th online at nuttystephs.com, at Nutty Steph’s Middlesex Vermont location, and at select local retailers throughout the state. “We hope Vermonters will gift these beautiful handmade chocolates and original illustrations to loved ones, to advocates, to legislators, to any person in their life who values diversity and wants broader access to reproductive health care,” said Martina Anderson of Nutty Steph’s.

When told about this upcoming campaign to raise funds for Planned Parenthood, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said “Planned Parenthood has been under [sic] fierce attacks …Any support we can give Planned Parenthood is step.”

The Vermont artisan chocolate company will facilitate a dialogue for the vision of a healthier American future by collecting and sharing the stories of ordinary people about social justice, reproduction, diversity and vulvas; contributors are asked to participate via social media by using the hashtag #vulvalution.

The Chocolate Vulva boxes will be for sale through the year, or while demand lasts. The Vulvalution campaign will culminate in a celebration on New Year’s Eve with 1,000 attendees, celebrating 100-years since the first American women won the vote. “It’s sure to be the party of the century,” said Rieke “The United States has come a long way since 1920 and yet has so far to go. We are excited for the opportunity to accelerate positive change, to impact the wellness of Vermonters, and to inspire joy along the way.”
