VBSR Welcomes Madison Wood as Membership and Development Manager
Burlington, Vt. (June 23, 2023) – Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) is pleased to announce that Madison Wood has joined the organization as Membership and Development Manager. In this role, Wood develops and implements VBSR’s strategic approach to membership recruitment, retention and engagement in addition to fundraising for the organization’s Expanding Our Movement Fund.
Wood, a native of New York with Vermont roots, brings a blended background in sustainable business, marketing, finance, stakeholder engagement, and talent development – a unique mix that will help VBSR evolve all aspects of the organization in the coming years.
In her various roles in the financial sector with BNP Paribas – a global bank committed to making a sustainable and inclusive contribution to the environmental, societal, technological and economic challenges of our time – Wood developed curricula, produced speaker series and philanthropic events, managed recruiting and training programs, and streamlined various global enterprise processes.
As a graduate of the University of Vermont’s Sustainable Innovation MBA (SI-MBA) program, she has experience with research, advocacy, and education focused on values-led business, including manufacturing emissions, product lifecycle planning, carbon neutrality, market research, and competitive benchmarking.
