VBSR Welcomes Kristin Warner as Public Policy Manager

Burlington, Vt. (March 28, 2023) – Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) is pleased to announce that Kristin Warner has joined the organization as Public Policy Manager. In this role, Warner supports VBSR’s efforts to advance the organization’s policy goals, working closely with VBSR members.

Warner, a native Vermonter, raised and currently living in Montpelier, brings an extensive background as a successful organizer, strategist, and advocate to VBSR. With nearly two decades committed to the labor movement, she is adept at bringing many disparate voices together in consensus around common issues and developing impactful leadership skills within membership bases.

Warner will continue VSBR’s long tradition of legislative action at the State House. She is experienced at lobbying, having worked to champion reforms in early education and advance sound public policy in both public and private sector healthcare and child care here in Vermont and Nevada. Committed to creating a sustainable future, Warner is energized by Vermont’s unique opportunity to accomplish impactful progressive change that can help Vermonters while raising expectations nationally.

VBSR has been advocating on behalf of the people, environments, and businesses of Vermont for 33 years and has been a leader on legislative successes such as farm to plate and home solar investment, the global warming solutions act, marriage equality, ban the box, clean water investment, earned paid sick leave, increasing the minimum wage, climate action, and more.

“Over VBSR’s history, we have proven that business can collectively bring their voices to support policies that sustain our communities, our employees, and our planet. While voluntary changes inside Vermont businesses are key to creating more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous communities, only public policy can deliver the pace and scale of change needed to tackle our most pressing societal challenges,” said Roxanne Vought, executive director of VBSR. “Kristin has the knowledge, skills and expertise to move these important policies forward on behalf of our members.”
