VBSR Champion Members Lead the Way with Social & Environmental Impact in 2020
2020 was a year of unprecedented hardship, and the VBSR community responded with creativity, compassion, and resiliency, providing ample models for responding to the crises of our time while supporting a just, thriving and transformative economy that works for all people and the planet. Two of our VBSR Champion Members recently released impact reports on 2020, National Life Group and Vermont Creamery. Both reports include stories and metrics that demonstrate the power of business for social and environmental impact, even – and perhaps, especially – during a crisis.
The award-winning dairy producer Vermont Creamery embraces a “business for good approach,” with a combination of responsible business practices in everyday choices together with advocating for systemic changes within agriculture and family-first policies that it believes will build resilience for the future.
The 2020 Mission Report highlights a few of the key commitments, such as:
- People-First Approach
- Feeding the Community
- Supporting the Future of Agriculture
- Family-First Advocacy for Statewide Childcare
- 100 percent Renewable Energy via “Cow Power”
