Spring Art Pop-up Show and Fundraiser

Sojourns Community Health Clinic announces Spring Into Renewal at Sojourns, its first ever art pop-up fundraiser, featuring donated pieces from local artists, including the late painter Richard Schmid, through sponsorship from Kristen Thies, owner of West Wind Fine Art in Walpole, NH.

Executive Director, Sara L. Allen commented, “This show provides an opportunity to celebrate the emergence of springtime (including our champion maple tree), the local artist community, as well as honor the clinic’s late founder, Linda Haltinner. Linda inspired everyone around her to see each patient as whole and well. We want to carry this vision forward, and we need the community’s support to make it happen.”

For sale are fine art prints by Richard Schmid, Nancy Guzik, Kathy Anderson, Daniel J. Keys, Judy Stach, and Timothy R. Thies, plus books and art catalogs. Also for sale will be original art and prints from fine local artists Dianne Athey, Tim Campbell, Barbara Campman, Martha Dolan, Scott Duchene, Judy Hawkins, Charlie Hunter, Nick Kekic, Kathleen Kennedy, Donna Bascom Lund, Tina Olsen, and Sherry Schreiber.

Donations also are welcomed, as the pop-up show is part of the clinic’s spring appeal to raise $50,000 towards an operating deficit due to insufficient insurance reimbursement rates. Those who choose to support Sojourns through the purchase of art are directly contributing to the delivery of quality, integrated healthcare services to over 4,000 patients each year, many of whom are on Medicaid or Medicare.
