The 2017 Special Olympics Vermont Summer Games will take place June 3-4 at the University of Vermont. This annual event brings together nearly 600 athletes with intellectual disabilities to compete in bocce and basketball. Summer Games athletes will also have access to free hearing, vision, and dental screenings through the Healthy Athletes program. Screenings are conducted by medical professionals and students who volunteer their time and skills to ensure that Special Olympics Vermont athletes can perform at the top of their potential.
Special Olympics Vermont is part of a global movement that works year-round to foster acceptance and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities by using the power of sport to showcase their gifts and abilities.
