Mondo Mediaworks to Host VBSR Networking Get-Together

Event to Focus on Sustainable Business Growth, Employee Well-Being

Burlington, VT – Mondo Mediaworks is set to host the next Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) Networking Get-Together. The digital marketing agency will host the event in their Brattleboro-based headquarters on Thursday, July 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. “We couldn’t be happier or more grateful to have Mondo as our host,” noted VBSR’s executive director Jane Campbell. “As a Certified B Corp, Mondo understands that running a business is about more than just profit. This is a company that allows employees to use company resources when volunteering, prioritizes local purchasing, provides livable wages, and monitors the happiness of their employees, and those are just a few examples of how this company is working to do business differently.” Campbell noted that the event is open to the public and that guests can expect to hear more from the hosts about their efforts. “Our goal for this event is to inspire our business and nonprofit leaders. For some, that will mean taking one or two of Mondo’s examples and incorporating them into their organizations. For others, that will mean being excited that there are businesses like this out there who are striving for more than just profit. The more we can shine a light on this, the more likely it is that more organizations will see the value in shifting to an approach to business that values not only profit, but also values community involvement, employee well-being and environmental impacts.” VBSR’s July Networking Get-Together Hosted by Mondo Mediaworks is part of a statewide series dedicated to helping connect forward-thinking business leaders and share knowledge, tips, and techniques around the triple-bottom-line approach to business. The event is free for VBSR members as well as state and elected officials, and is $10 for nonmembers. Guests will have a chance to check out Mondo’s facility, network with forward-thinking business professionals, hear more about Mondo’s mission, and enjoy hors d’oeuvres provided by the hosts. The event is sponsored by Brattleboro Savings & Loan, Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, Let’s Grow Kids, Merritt & Merritt, Milk Money, Oak Meadow, THRIVEeap, and United Way of Windham County.
