Kelly Baker joins CCS board

Kelly Baker, new CCS board member(Colchester, VT) VBSR member Champlain Community Services (CCS), a nonprofit serving Vermonters with intellectual disabilities and autism, recently welcomed Kelly Baker to its board of directors. Baker is a preschool para-educator at Malletts Bay School in the Colchester Early Education program, and also serves as a part-time community support worker with a young woman with an intellectual disability. She holds a B.A. in Psychology (minor in Anthropology) from St. Michael College.

“It’s my personal motivation of creating a more understanding and inclusive world for all members of our community that brings me to this board,” Baker said. “I am honored to be given this opportunity to help serve CCS and the members of the local community and I will do my best to make sure CCS continues to move in a positive direction.”

CCS is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The Colchester-based agency is nationally recognized for its supported employment program, Way2Work. CCS provides essential, often lifelong, employment, home and shared living, school transition, and community supports for people with disabilities. More information at www.ccs-vt.org.
