Immerse Yourself in an Inspiring Cohort Experience; Apply to the Snelling Center for Government’s Vermont Leadership Institute Class of 2023

March 31, 2022 – As Vermont transitions away from the pandemic, leaders who value a strong network of support to move forward will find the greatest success. After such a challenging, exhausting, and at times isolating, two years, there is strength now to be gained from comradery. Strong leadership rooted in the value of peers coming together to work collaboratively and uphold one another is more important than ever.

As an intensive, cohort-based civic leadership development program offered by the Snelling Center for Government, the Vermont Leadership Institute (VLI) has been developing and supporting leaders across the state since 1995. The meaningful relationships among participants that develop and continue to strengthen over the course of the 9-month program are unique to VLI and often sustained for years to come. In addition to an engaging cohort, VLI provides participants from Vermont’s most active private, public and non-profit sectors with curricula and faculty to tackle the increasing complexity of today’s challenges. Session topics include but are not limited to personal leadership adaptation; complex systems thinking and innovation; and leadership paradigms that support diversity, equity, and inclusion for all Vermonters. Upon completion of the program, participants join a community of more than 625 VLI graduates who have made a profound difference in the quality of life for Vermonters and their communities during this unprecedented time: designing innovative businesses, leading award-winning non-profits, serving in the legislature and state government, and volunteering in their communities.

Experience the journey as a member of the 28th VLI cohort. Applications for the Vermont Leadership Institute Class of 2023 are currently being accepted through May 1, 2022.
