Heady Vermont to Host First-Ever Hemp Farmer’s Market on Sunday, November 5
Extends invitation to local hemp producers and artisans to connect with Burlington marketplace

BURLINGTON, Vt. – Continuing their efforts to foster positive dialogue about all things cannabis, Heady Vermont seeks to further strengthen the relationship between the burgeoning hemp industry and the citizens of Vermont through the heart of community-centered commerce: the farmer’s market.

Taking place in the historic Union Train Station of Burlington’s Main Street Landing on Sunday, November 5 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the CBD Hemp Farmer’s Market is Heady Vermont’s latest endeavor to provide exposure opportunities for makers of hemp products and educate the canna-curious public about CBD and local Vermont products that include many different kinds of hemp. Sponsored by Ceres Remedies, the CBD Hemp Farmer’s Market promises to provide an accessible platform for regional growers and crafters of hemp to both engage active members of the Vermont cannabis community and reach out to interested newcomers to the cannabis scene. Attendance is free to the public.

In a year and a half of operation, Heady Vermont has grown into a bustling digital media hub, devoted to keeping thousands of Vermonters informed of the goings-on in the cannabis community. Their coverage ranges from industry conventions to artist profiles to investigative reports on medical marijuana advocacy. Earlier this September, Heady Vermont also produced the first Vermont Hemp Fest, which was attended by over 500 attending Vermonters of diverse backgrounds and featured dozens of pioneering local hemp businesses.

As their audience expands and interest around cannabis continues to build, Heady Vermont hopes to serve their dedicated readership by introducing them to the wealth of quality goods that local hemp entrepreneurs have to offer. In conjunction with the farmer’s market, Heady Vermont also offers its members discounts from participating businesses to better facilitate the connection between the cannabis industry and its consumers.

Heady Vermont also aims to break new ground with the CBD Hemp Farmer’s Market, as it will be the very first farmer’s market in Vermont focused primarily on hemp and CBD. “We hope to connect interested Vermonters with a unique and wide variety of CBD hemp products,” says Heady Vermont co-founder Monica Donovan. “We’re really excited to execute this event that’s the first of its kind.” A follow-up farmer’s market is already in the works, to be announced at a near-future date. While local hemp exhibitors will be given preference, other farmers, food vendors and artisans are welcome to apply and participate.

Heady Vermont is currently seeking event sponsors and exhibitors. The venue will allow for 20-25 exhibitors in total, and Heady Vermont anticipates table slots will fill up fast. Organizers note that other farmers, food vendors and artisans are welcome to apply and participate, but preference will be given to local hemp exhibitors. Interested businesses can find further information on reserving tables or applying for sponsorship here.
