Garnet Transport Medicine, a state-of-the-art non-emergent medical transport service, will provide 24/7/365 inter-facility transport throughout Vermont. Garnet’s services include Basic and Advanced Life Support ambulance service and Non-Emergent Medical Transport for those requiring wheelchair accommodation, all with a focus on patient-centered care.
Founder, Ryan T. Ferris serves as President & CEO at Garnet Transport Medicine. Ryan is a Licensed Paramedic, a Certified HIPPA Privacy & Security Expert (CHPSE), and a Certified Telehealth Coordinator (CTC) with 15-years of professional EMS experience in 911 and interfacility critical and specialty care.
Co-Founder, H. Kenneth Merritt, Jr. is Executive Chairman and Chief Financial Officer at Garnet Transport Medicine, LLC. He comes to the company with close to 40 years of advising emerging growth companies and institutional and angel investors as the Managing Director at Merritt & Merritt Law Firm.
“Until now, there is only one other company serving all of Vermont in the interfacility and non-emergent ambulatory care segment,” explained Ryan Ferris. “Having worked in this field for many years, I saw a need for more capacity and clinical capability. This is especially true in Chittenden County and in serving the University of Vermont Medical Center, senior living communities, and rehabilitation centers.”
Garnet Services; which include industry best patient care capabilities aboard their three custom Braun ambulances, each equipped with the latest biomedical and communications equipment, and a clinical logistics operations center in Essex Junction, VT; will begin September 23, 2019.
