Capstone Community Action hires Chief Financial Officer

(Barre, VT) Capstone Community Action announced that Colleen Lafont was hired as the new Chief Financial Officer. This position has a critical role in fulfilling the Capstone leadership team.

Colleen has worked at Capstone for 27 years and during this time she has held the roles of Controller and Grants and Contracts Accountant.  Colleen brings a wealth of knowledge in nonprofit accounting, nonprofit financial management and government administration to her role as Chief Financial Officer.

Capstone Community Action was founded in 1965 and works to alleviate the suffering caused by poverty and to create economic opportunity for people and communities.  Capstone’s programs include emergency food assistance, emergency heat and utility assistance, housing counseling including homelessness intervention, transportation assistance, community economic development, and child and family development programs in Early Head Start/Head Start.
