Brian Gray to Step Down as General Manager of the Energy Co-op of Vermont

Colchester, Vermont, September 12, 2022 …………. The Energy Co-op of Vermont, a fuel oil and home efficiency services cooperative with headquarters in Colchester, Vermont, announced today that Brian Gray will retire as General Manager following the selection of a new General Manager.

“After serving as the General Manager of the Co-op over the past 5 years I have decided it’s time to retire and spend more time with family and volunteering my time to many worthy causes,” said Brian Gray. “My time at the Co-op has been rewarding and enjoyable, especially working with our members and employees on a daily basis. I hope that in my tenor we have been able to serve our membership well and provide the energy services needed for our members to have a comfortable and efficient home.”

“For the past five years, Brian’s leadership has been instrumental in navigating the Energy Co-op through the COVID crisis and the recent volatility in the oil market,” said Kelly Lucci, Energy Co-op Board Chair. “He has worked successfully to increase revenue and further diversify the Co-op from its core heating fuel business to become a premiere resource for home efficiency services and new equipment installation, saving homeowners money and fossil fuel. “

The Energy Co-op’s day-to-day fuel delivery, service and energy efficiency operations are directed by the Co-op’s managers and will not be affected by this change in leadership.

The Energy Co-op’s Board of Directors has launched a search for a new General Manager. To assure a smooth transition, Brian will remain in his position until a replacement is hired. A complete job description for the position is available on the Energy Co-op’s website at:
