Vice President, Digital | Full Time

The VP Digital reports directly to the CFO and oversees Mamava’s technology platform encompassing our mobile application, IoT products, and business intelligence capabilities.  They will manage a small internal cross-functional team, outside third-party developers, and be responsible for leading, defining, and evolving the processes underlying Mamava’s technology platform.  They will be integral to maintaining and troubleshooting our current platform while simultaneously designing, building, and implementing our next generation technological products and understanding how they will support the company’s continued growth.


  • Be the in-house technical expert on the architecture of our digital platforms (mobile app, IoT, business intelligence, and data management)
  • Manage the digital team/budget and strategically allocate team resources across digital projects and initiatives maximizing ROI
  • Contract with third-party developers to control costs and develop a plan to bring some development in-house as growth warrants
  • Be the communicator (and translator) both internally and externally to customers for the design and value of the company’s technologies
  • Identify gaps in our technologies and processes then propose and create solutions
  • Build the vision for the future state of Mamava’s technology platform in support of company’s strategic goals
  • Collaborate with departments across the organization in support of sustainable growth
  • Maintain and update Mamava’s security policy and perform compliance audits


  • 5+ years experience in leading software development or systems engineering team
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in software development or engineering field
  • Experience managing IoT devices
  • Experience managing near-shore/offshore/contracted-3rd party developers
  • Fluency in working within an Agile framework
  • Proven experience in leading organizations through periods of rapid change and growth
  • Proven record of recruiting, retaining and developing talent
  • Strong understanding of building cloud-native/cloud first solutions (GCP preferred)
  • Hands-on experience in system orchestration “DevOps”
  • Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database architecture
  • Experience in writing security policy and performing compliance audits
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Problem solver with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risk
