Strategic Communications Manager | Full Time

Job Summary: As part of the UVM Strategic Communications team, lead communications and marketing activities that raise awareness and strengthen the brand of the Grossman School of Business (GSB). Provide guidance, coordination, and leadership for communications and marketing in the Dean’s Office, all programs and centers, ensuring alignment of messaging and brand within the School and with the University’s brand. Create, edit, and publish content in digital and print media for internal and external audiences. Serve as the School’s webmaster and social media manager. Coordinate the work of other School communications staff and supervise student interns.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media, or related field and two to four years’ experience in communications and/or marketing roles. Demonstrated professional competency in the following areas Writing/editing, Web publishing/, Social media, Desktop publishing, Photography, and Videography.

Creative and persuasive written and oral communications skills. Public speaking and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member and adhere to established project deadlines. Attention to detail. Working knowledge of Internet resources and software applications used to support communication functions. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Software.
