Social Research and Advocacy Internship — Paid | Paid Internship

Clean Yield is seeking a summer intern to support our social research, shareholder advocacy, and B Corp efforts. Specific projects may include performing environmental and social reviews of Clean Yield investments, researching companies to identify those involved in developing sustainable solutions, collating shareholder advocacy results and identifying advocacy opportunities, and supporting annual B Corp/Vermont Benefit Corp reporting.
Annual ESG Portfolio Review
• Review Clean Yield’s Buy List for materials changes to company ESG profiles. This includes: • Gathering and analyzing data from a range of sources – some public and some subscription-based
• Identifying materials changes to ESG profiles
• Preparing report of findings for Clean Yield’s Investment Committee
Support Social Research and Advocacy Function
• Support Clean Yield’s Director of Social Research and Advocacy with research and administrative tasks as needed
Suitable candidates will have strong analytical and writing capabilities, as well as good attention to detail and intellectual curiosity. The ability to find humor in things is also appreciated!
Desired Skills, Attributes, and Knowledge
A commitment to environmental sustainability or social justice issues or a demonstrated interest in sustainable or impact investing would be helpful.
Educational/Professional Development Outcomes
The intern will gain experienc ein the inner workings of ustainable and impact investing, as well as familiarity with the B Corp reporting and assessment framework. Specfic projects may be included in student work portfolios.
