Vermont Works for Women

ROSIE’S GIRLS® INSTRUCTORS | Seasonal

Category: Non-profit

Location: Chittenden County, Franklin County, and Washington County

Vermont Works for Women is hiring trades and general instructors for our 2020 Rosie’s Girls® summer day camp! Rosie’s Girls is a skilled trades and career exploration camp for girls and gender non-conforming middle school aged youth. Rosie’s Girls instructors work together to provide a physically and emotionally safe space for campers to develop grit, connection to themselves and others, and a sense of expanded possibilities through hands-on projects paired with social and emotional development activities.

Trades instructors spend the majority of their day on metal and/or wood shop operations and general instructors spend the majority of their day leading out-of-shop activities, fostering a supportive environment, and responding to group needs and dynamics – though everyone works as a team to make camp magic happen! Rosie’s Girls camps run from 9 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, in locations in Chittenden County, Franklin County, and Washington County.

Vermont Works for Women is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals. As part of this commitment, VWW will ensure that persons with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations. If reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and/or to receive other benefits and privileges of employment, please contact Suzanne Eikenberry, info@vtworksforwomen.org, 802-655-8900 x107.

As Rosie’s Girls helps youth gain confidence through hands-on STEAM and trades related activities, we especially encourage people with identities that are underrepresented in STEAM fields to apply.
