2018-2019 Winter Internship

Internship begin on a rolling basis starting on November 1st and continue for a minimum of 3 months.  Intern will work in Montpelier for at least 16 hours a week.  Occasional remote work is also possible.  Candidates must possess strong communication, writing, and research skills; an ability to take initiative, work independently, and thrive in a fast paced environment; and a passion for achieving Vermont’s sustainable, clean energy future. Current undergraduate, graduate, and law students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.  Internship offers excellent professional experience, networking opportunities, and specific projects to develop work portfolios.  Academic credit available pursuant to school requirements.


Energy Policy Internship

The energy policy intern works directly with REV’s Executive Director and Legislative & Policy Committee to advance renewable energy and climate policy during the 2019 legislative session before the Vermont General Assembly, Public Service Board, and State Agencies.  Duties include: tracking legislation, developing factsheets, attending hearings, issue research, assisting in coalition meetings, helping organize lobby days, developing bill summaries, drafting comments and action alerts.  Candidates with legal background will assist with regulatory filings and proceedings.  Issues include: low-income access, tax incentives, wind sound, regional and town plans, net metering, modern wood heating, transmission, renewable energy siting, environmental permitting, and more.



Current or recent graduate or law students are preferred for this position.
