Vermont Works for Women

VWW is hiring for two regional, remote positions in southern VT; one focused in the Rutland area, and the other in the Brattleboro area. Both positions will require some travel around the region between southern hub areas including Rutland, Springfield, Bennington & Brattleboro.

The primary responsibility of both positions is to support incarcerated women and women reentering the community to ameliorate the impact of COVID-19 that has required isolation of some incarcerated individuals, and to limit the in-person contacts of re-entering individuals. This position will provide recently released women with coaching and intensive case management supports focused on helping women secure and maintain employment to become self-sufficient and productive members of the community.

Key components involve creating motivating supports sensitive to the needs and challenges of incarcerated women, and working collaboratively with contacts at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility, partner organizations, regional resource providers, community justice centers, employers, and members of the VWW team. This is a temporary position, ending on December 20, 2020.

This position pays $18-20 /hour.
