Grocery Manager Overview
This essential leadership position will oversee the Grocery Department for our $19 Million natural foods market. The Grocery Manager reports to the Store Operations Manager and works closely with the management team to support our growing Co-op. Our leadership expectations include supporting our entire workplace with an attitude of we are all in this together, a willingness to go the extra mile, and continuously learn and grow.
As manager of our Grocery Department, you are an instrumental leader to many operations. You know the products, have strong relationships with vendors, and an eye for natural foods trends. Our Manager is a great communicator, embraces a hands-on leadership style, and knows how to lead a high-quality natural foods department. You are in this role because you are looking for a challenge with a progressive organization full of dedicated staff who do awesome work. You are passionate in going above and beyond to offer great customer service. You creatively embrace change. To lead our grocery team we want you to have
- 5 or more years of a leadership role in retail and natural foods
- ability to lead and motivate an amazing team
- experience meeting margin goals
- knowledge of buying in large quantities
- familiarity with our natural foods and local products
- proven merchandising skills
