Graduate Programs Career Advisor | Full Time

Job Summary: The Grossman School of Business (GSB) is seeking a Graduate Programs Career Advisor to develop and implement short- and long-term strategies and programming that will ensure GSB graduate students and alumni have broad exposure to potential job opportunities, both within and outside of Vermont. Oversee and provide leadership of the “Changemaker Network”, the network of external and internal constituents from the spheres of sustainable business, clean technology, and corporate social responsibility, whose mission is to provide a support system for the GSB graduate programs.  Act as career advisor, assisting with resume, cover letters, and career guidance. Serve as employer liaison for graduate students and alumni. Develop, coordinate, and implement career coaching programs, including workshops, panels, guest speakers. Collaborate with Sustainable Innovation (SI-MBA) program directors on strategic initiatives related to “track” specialization, program strategy and development of opportunities with stakeholders. As a member of the admissions committee, participate in admissions and recruitment of graduate students during application review, interview process and communication with prospective students.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in a business administration, counseling, higher education or other related field and three years’ related experience required. Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships across organizations. Experience advising, mentoring, or coaching in a personal or professional capacity. Proficient in database and word-processing applications to include editing and proofreading skills required. Effective organizational, communication, team collaboration, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail required. Demonstrated multicultural competence and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience with recruiting and hiring processes desired. Experience organizing and implementing workshops, events, and/or seminars highly desired.
