Job Summary:

Provide event support and marketing media services in support of the Grossman School of Business (GSB) as well as being a super-user of GSB specific applications many of which are used for accreditation reporting. Event support will include planning, preparing room technology, assisting presenters, attending the events and being on call for troubleshooting and support, managing in-room IT systems, and ensuring on-line meeting platforms and equipment operate correctly. This position will be expected to provide project coordination for GSB events, be the technical liaison with Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) as needed, be present in the room to support Speakers and conduct general planning, testing, and troubleshooting of technology use during and prior to events at and for GSB. Marketing media efforts will require creating, editing and ensuring marketing materials for GSB and its events are delivered appropriately and efficiently. This includes web knowledge, the use of standard graphic design tools, attention to detail and working with the Dean’s office to understand direction and priorities. This position plays an important role in organizing data and ensuring accurate and timely reporting needs are met. This role will be a power-user in GSB specific tools and data sets. There will be an expectation that this role will continuously increase knowledge of emerging technologies to stay current with the rapid growth of media tools, techniques, and methods; provide recommendations to promote optimum utilization of services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in a related information technology discipline or equivalent experience and two to three years related experience required. Experience technically supporting events on a variety of platforms. Demonstrated skills with troubleshooting computer systems and how they relate to audio-visual systems and ability to quickly identify and resolve issues at an event. Effective interpersonal and organizational skills and experience working effectively both within a team and independently. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in higher education setting desirable. Knowledge of common web platforms desirable.
