Vital Communities, a regional nonprofit located in White River Junction, VT, seeks a Director of Human Resources (HR) to oversee all strategic and functional HR operations. This is a new position and offers a great opportunity to work with a mission-driven organization committed to creating a workplace that promotes employee wellbeing, productivity, innovation and growth.

The HR Director will support our growth as an organization that strives to deliver programs and projects that align with our values and best practices in diversity, equity and inclusion. The Human Resources responsibilities include traditional duties such as hiring, benefits and compensation, staff development and evaluation, employee safety and support, and HR policies. The Director will also work with staff to stretch us towards equitable and progressive policies and procedures for our employees and those we serve in communities.  

Location: This can be a fully on-site or hybrid position. If hybrid, the in-person part of the
job would be donor meetings as needed in the region and staff gatherings or
meetings in our office in White River Junction, VT and the surrounding region.
Hiring Range: $80,000 – $90,000
