Are you highly effective at helping people turn ideas into outcomes? CVOEO’s Micro Business Development Program is seeking a Culinary Business Counselor who will support low-income Vermonters to start, sustain, and expand food-based businesses and grow careers in the culinary arts by providing business coaching, technical assistance, support in applying for funding, and facilitation of workshops and networking events. The Counselor will work closely with the Financial Empowerment for New Americans Project to expand culinary business services for New American community members. The Counselor will research successful culinary business incubators and facilitate collaboration between the Micro Business Development Program, Feeding Chittenden, and community partners to establish a culinary incubator in northwest Vermont. If you have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or at least two years’ of relevant work and life experience; experience in coaching, counseling, teaching, and/or business, with a focus on supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds; effective verbal and written communication skills, bilingual abilities are a plus; a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment; and are a committed team player with a willingness to take initiative, we’d like to hear from you!
