The Position:  The Brand Manager is responsible for driving the development and execution of brand strategy, product line sales performance, financial management, marketing planning, and tactical execution of marketing plans. The brand team is responsible for delivering profitable sales growth for assigned product lines.

Reports to: Brand Director

Location: White River Junction, VT (flexibility for hybrid with occasional onsite work)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Develop annual brand plan, including forecasting, marketing and product line strategy
  • Implement brand strategy and annual plans, including advertising and content, promotions, and product line optimizations
  • Collaborate with the Digital and Editorial teams to develop content and campaigns that support customer engagement and overall product line growth
  • Develop a deep understanding of our consumers through panel data and market research
  • Partner with Innovation to inform a 2-3 year strategic product pipeline

   Drive Business Results:

  • Lead regularly scheduled review of business results, highlighting key findings and business implications
  • Manage product line budget and marketing spend
  • Execute marketing plans in coordination with Digital, Editorial, Shopper teams and outside vendors/agencies
  • Manage cross-functional project teams and direct reports by setting clear objectives
  • Lead brand-led initiatives including advertising, creative, packaging changes, and product line extensions

   Data-led Decision-Making:

  • Drive data and insight-driven business decisions, including analyzing Nielsen and Numerator data for sales trends
  • Assist with annual volume bridge and own product line forecast for monthly S&OP meetings
  • Set and track metrics and KPIs, offering recommendations for optimization

Minimum job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA strongly preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in CPG or brand marketing
  • Proficiency in IRI or Nielsen
