Bakery Production Intern | ASAP

Position Description:

OWL FOOD, an energy bar manufacturer in Brattleboro, VT is hiring for two part time production baker positions. OWL Food is a woman-owned small business established in 2011. We are passionate about healthy living and eating, and bring that dedication into the food we make and the atmosphere we work in.

This internship is a fun opportunity to work with a small group in a hands-on, craft oriented field. We are looking for hard workers, who are self-motivated and detail oriented. Ideal applicant will share our enthusiasm for good food, satisfying work, and the support of small independently owned and operated business.

We need help with a wide range of tasks including production, shipping and receiving, record keeping, inventory, and cleaning. Actively looking for summer interns for the next 3-4 month with the potential to extend beyond if desired. Additional opportunities may exist to assist with social media, marketing, food photography, and other small business growth areas. This is an internship opportunity with many possibilities!

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior kitchen experience a plus, but willing to train an eager baker.
  • Attention to detail with appreciation for, and aptitude to meet, high standards of quality.
  • Applicant must display ability to stay on task, ability to perform consistently with repetitive tasks, and have some schedule flexibility.
  • Physical requirements require standing for 6-8 hours, physical production work, and heavy lifting up to 60#.
