Meet the presenters:

 

Sam MarkewichSam Markewich is a Central Vermont-based business coach. His passion for Vermont’s community-connected small businesses led him, along with his business partner, Brendan Coyne, to form Downtown Up. Downtown Up is a business coaching firm with the sole mission of helping Vermont’s small businesses and local economies thrive. Sam has helped dozens of Vermont-based business owners develop simplified strategic growth plans and the knowledge, skills, and accountability to grow their businesses and achieve greater impact. Sam presents workshops Downtown-Up-logothroughout Central Vermont on a variety of small business topics. He has also offered workshops in several other states and Europe through his prior international coaching business, Peak Performance Living.

 

Markey Read has worked for the past 20 years providing leadership development, team building, and professional employee development services to employers and individuals throughout Vermont with the company she founded, Career Networks. She has been a member of VBSR for 12 years, and has attended and spoken at VBSR Conferences. Markey is a current VBSR board member. Throughout her involvement at VBSR, she has participated on various other committees. She has served on the board for the VT Association for MRG GroupPsychological Type and the VT Consultants network. Markey was also the chapter coordinator for WBON in Williston, and is currently a member of the American Society of Training and Development.
