Join VBSR, B Corp Consultant Rebecca Coffey, and representatives from Vermont B Corps, for a 2-part virtual workshop series, From B to Z: A Deep Dive on B Corp Certification. B Corps represent the highest level of social and environmental impact in business today. The B Corp Certification process and the B Impact Assessment provides businesses with a framework and tools to measure and quantify their impact, as well as identify opportunities for continued growth.

The first virtual workshop is designed to orient businesses who are interested in or considering becoming a B Corp to the process, intentions, benefits, and logistics of the certification process.

The second virtual workshop will be a space for in-depth discussions and specific questions about aspects of the B Impact Assessment as well as the Re-Certification Process, legal update, impact reporting, B Lab reviews and other related topics.

Join us for one virtual workshop or both:

What is a B Corp? How do companies achieve B Corp Certification? Why do companies certify, and who is eligible? Join VBSR and Rebecca Coffey for an educational workshop designed to answer your questions about the logistics, intentions, and process of B Corp Certification. We will also hear from Jerelyn Wilson of BuildingGreen about her experience going through the impact assessment and certification process when BuildingGreen became a B Corp in late 2019.  This workshop is intended for those interested in stewarding their own company through B Corp Certification, or those interested in finding out more about the certification and B Corp movement.

Part 2: Beyond B Corp Basics

Wednesday, November 3rd

11:00 am – 12:30 pm ET

REGISTER HERE

This virtual workshop is for companies who are already engaged in any stage of the B Corp Certification or Re-Certification process and are looking for a place to bring their questions and challenges. We will also hear from Eliza Leeper of Vermont Creamery about her experience stewarding Vermont Creamery’s B Corp Certification and Re-Certification processes as well as about the impact reports that Vermont Creamery has developed. Please join us for a lively discussion and be ready to ask all of your questions. Including:

  • I am in the process of completing the BIA and am stuck on a particular question – help!
  • What is the B Corp Re-Certification process?
  • What if there isn’t Benefit Corporation legislation where my company is incorporated?
  • What are the current wait times on the B Lab review and costs to submit the BIA and certify?
  • What is an impact report and why should my company write one?
  • and more!

These workshops will take place virtually, and the details to join each workshop will be sent via email to all who register, in advance of the event. Closed captioning via live transcription will be available during both of these workshops. Both workshops will be recorded and the recordings will be shared with all who register.
