Join VBSR and Kadijah Means for a two-part virtual workshop series exploring all aspects of equitable recruiting and retention. In the Equitable Recruiting and Retention series, we will interrogate misconceptions about the talent pipeline, determine which actions push equity-based recruitment efforts forward, and how to extend kindness and care to employees to boost retention. This workshop series is a great fit for any HR professional, manager, or business leader who is looking to center equity and inclusion in their hiring and retention strategies.

Join us for one or both of the workshops in this series:

Equitable Recruiting & Retention – Part 1

Thursday, September 16th

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

REGISTER HERE

In the first Equitable Recruiting and Retention virtual workshop, we will learn to upgrade standard recruiting practices to neutralize inequities in the workplace. Through a combination of small group discussions and skill-building activities, we write compelling job descriptions to attract top and emerging talent and how to ensure they reach them. This 2-hour workshop will provide critical insights into the how-tos of equitable hiring practices.

Equitable Recruiting & Retention – Part 2

Thursday, September 30th

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

REGISTER HERE

In the second Equitable Recruiting and Retention virtual workshop, attendees will identify areas of opportunity for building and maintaining an equitable workplace. We will review strategies to retain a diverse workforce, including Nonviolent Communication, internal mentorship, pay equity, and other active Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.

These workshops will take place virtually, and the details to join each workshop will be sent via email to all who register, in advance of the event. Closed captioning via live transcription will be available during both of these workshops. Both workshops will be recorded and the recordings will be shared with all who register.

SHRM-certified individuals who participate in these workshops are eligible to receive 2 PD SHRM credits for each workshop, as VBSR is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®.
