About Our Host

VPRListener-supported Vermont Public Radio has served Vermont and the surrounding region since 1977. As the only statewide public radio network, VPR provides an essential and trusted independent voice for news, information, music and cultural exploration for the people of our region.

After outgrowing its headquarters of 20 years and with the support of a generous community of donors, VPR recently expanded and updated its Colchester facility to include the VPR News Center and Studio One, a public performance venue. With assistance from Efficiency Vermont, VPR is working to become one of the first “net zero” public media facilities in the country.

Imagine that all of your employees and board members were fully engaged to create change. They’re energized, excited, and have bought into your company’s direction – probably because they helped create it. That is our company vision. And our mission is to inspire leaders and empower teams through strategic planning, organizational development, communications and executive coaching. A former Vermont Legislator and Stanford MBA, Aplomb President Jason Lorber works directly with CEOs, Executive Directors, and other leaders of businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies throughout Vermont and the United States. SunCommon

SUNCOMMON believes that everyone has the right to a healthy environment and safer world — and clean energy is where it starts.  Energy from the sun can power our lives, heat our homes and fuel our cars.  Our mission is to tear down the barriers to renewable energy.  We do that by making it easy and affordable for all Vermonters to go solar.

Organized as one of Vermont’s pioneering Benefit Corporations, SunCommon is committed to the triple bottom line of people, planet and profit. Most of our 100 workers operate out of The Energy Mill, Vermont’s largest net-zero office building. Just 2 years old but now Vermont’s largest solar business, SunCommon installs half of all the residential solar systems in our state.  This is fun stuff.
