City Market, Onion River Co-op, is a 16,000 sq. ft. community-owned food cooperative located in beautiful downtown Burlington, Vermont. City Market is Burlington’s only downtown grocery store, open 363 days per year from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
City Market provides a critical service to the residents of Burlington and the larger community by providing conventional, organic and local products at a fair price to all. Over 4,000 customers pass through their doors each day in search of the quality products offered by City Market.
The Co-op is dedicated to supporting the local economy and strengthening the local food system. They work with thousands of Vermont vendors to feature a wide selection of local and Vermont-made products.
City Market is member-owned, profits generated by Co-op members are returned to our members in profitable years through our Patronage Refund program.
Green State Gardener is an indoor and medicinal gardening company. They empower their customers to grow, process and use their own plant-based medicines–with an emphasis on cannabis–by providing the best tools, materials, kits, and expert advice. Their product options and educational offering tap into the current wave of new indoor gardening and DIY consumers gaining momentum across the country; they believe that when they partner with and learn from nature, we all win.
Let’s Grow Kids is a statewide campaign about the need for more high-quality, affordable child care in Vermont to better support our children, families, communities and economy.
More than 70% of Vermont children under age 6 have all of their parents in the labor force, meaning they’re likely to need care. Yet nearly half of those infants and toddlers don’t have access to any regulated care, and nearly 80% don’t have access to high-quality programs.
Their goal at Let’s Grow Kids is to gain public support for increased, sustainable investment that gives each child the chance to reach their full potential.
