The Transportation & Climate Initiative: Opportunities and Updates
Transportation represents a whopping 44.5% of Vermont’s total greenhouse gas emissions. Fortunately, our state has an opportunity to transform our outdated transportation system by participating in the Transportation & Climate Initiative—a regional effort to put a cap on transportation-sector emissions across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states and reinvest the proceeds to help participating states invest in cleaner, healthier, and more equitable transportation solutions.
Join VBSR for a conversation on TCI with Commissioner Peter Walke from the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation, Johanna Miller from Vermont Natural Resources Council, and Jordan Stutt from Acadia Center. Get an overview of the program, an update on where states are in the process, and learn how this initiative can help tackle climate change, grow our economy, improve public health and modernize our transportation.
This webinar will take place via Zoom and is free for anyone to attend!
