About this Workshop

Branding is the way your organization authentically shares your story about the work you do and why you do it. To build a successful brand, and communicate effectively with others, it is important to start with clarifying values behind what you are doing and why others should care.

In this workshop we will go through the concrete steps to creating meaningful and clear messages, based on your organization’s values. Whether your organization operates in products, services, ideas, etc., this session will start you on the path to developing a roadmap for your communications and marketing.

We will start with strategically analyzing your company’s values and strengths, then identify internal and external personas, set objectives for behavior, knowledge and belief changes that are critical for your organization or company’s success, and understand what are the barriers that get in the way from the belief change or adopting an approach. By the end of the workshop, participants will draft a differentiated positioning statement that is clear, simple and shows why you exist and the benefits you provide to customers. Finally, we will spend time on the messages that communicate your values, strengths, and what makes you different.

The format of this workshop will include short explanations on the social marketing or values-based branding approach, including best practices and examples. Participants will then use templates or worksheets (provided) that guide individuals/organizations in the workshop through the steps that go from values and strengths to communicating and marketing.
