Increasingly, organizations understand a central key to organizational wellness and business success is increasing Employee Engagement. We also know that people work better when their physical safety is being watched after. Much research and documentation supports these understandings – but how do engagement and safety relate and how do we practice them in our workplaces?

In this session we will look at the most critical factor impacting employee engagement, better performing teams, and increased retention rates: Psychological Safety & Wellness. While you may be attuned to the concept of Wellness in the workplace, you may be asking “What is ‘Psychological Safety'”?

  • Psychological safety is the belief that you won’t be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes.
  • For employees it provides the right conditions for being engaged with work and feeling empowered and connected to others in the workplace.
  • For employers it not only supports employee engagement and better performing teams, it also increases retention rates.

Participants in this immersive and interactive workshop will learn how to identify and increase psychological safety & wellness within their workplace and leave with six essential skills applicable to any organization.

VBSR believes all people deserve work with dignity, purpose, and a pathway to advance their wellbeing. Centering people in work culture, practices, and policies creates economic mobility, employee empowerment, and thriving families and communities.
