The ability to manage conflict is a critical skill set in any professional field. Whether you work in legal services, human resources, education, counseling or business management, mediation experience can help you to be a stronger professional and more attractive candidate.
During our three-and-a-half day workshop, November 14–17, you will learn about:
Identifying and framing issues
Listening for interests
Controlling the process
Helping disputants solve problems
Handling special problems in mediation
In addition, the workshop has been approved by the Vermont Board of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education for 26.25 hours, and by the VT Secretary of State for eight hours of Continuing Education for Real Estate professionals.
The Basic Mediation workshop is equivalent to 2.8 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). This workshop may be eligible for Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) re-certification credits and Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) continuing education credits.
